She knew everyone in the family’s birthdays, all of her friend’s birthdays, and all of her church member’s birthdays. Auntie loved shopping for greeting cards, as she loved giving them to family and friends. Unable to attend her home church, she eagerly attended Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist church with family.Īuntie, not having children of her own, she graciously loved on and cared for generations of nieces and nephews. Auntie loved attending church and when the doors of the church were open, Auntie was always there, until her health began to fail. With her love for the Lord, she established membership and became a faithful member of Gethsemane Hope Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a proud member of the Senior Choir. She also, received an Award of Excellence for completing 34 years of loyal dedicated service to the New York City Employees Union Local 237 I.B.T.Īfter her retirement, Auntie excitedly moved back home to Winston-Salem NC. She pursued her career as an, Certified Electrocardiography Technician, and was employed by Kings County Hospital Center, Health and Hospitals Corp, where she was awarded for completing 34 years of valuable service. She went on to attended the Allen School for Physician Aides, in Jamaica, NY, graduating with a certification in Electrocardiography Technician and Basal Metabolism. Soon after graduating, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she furthered her education at the Mandl School for Medical and Dental Assistants, New York, NY, earning, a certification in Electrocardiography.
